Responsible for leading our sales efforts for our educational products and services to an audience of materials engineers, scientists, technicians, and others involved in metals-focused industries. Our product portfolio includes Customized On-Site Training, Materials for On-Site Training, Lab & Lecture classes, self-study and online.
Requires a practical understanding of mechanical, materials, electrical, and/or metallurgical engineering principles, sufficient to permit professional engagement of engineering sales prospects on subjects relevant to ASM product applications. Exceptional self-motivation, energy and initiative are imperative. Highly developed interpersonal skills essential and be an excellent communicator. Ability to set, achieve and surpass goals, objectives and initiatives. Technical knowledge and skills including MS Word, Access, MS Excel, MS Office, Outlook, online survey research tools, and statistical analysis.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree and five year’s experience as a sales representative or sales support engineer with established sales revenue targets; or equivalent. Prefer experience from the following sectors: engineering/lab instrumentation and equipment; commercial engineering services; scientific, engineering or technical publishing; contract manufacturing or fabrication; or other relevant industrial environment.
Additional Salary Information: Base plus commission. Commensurate with experience.
