Position:

AIP Publishing is looking for an Assistant Journal Manager or Journal Manager to oversee a select group of publications to ensure their editorial and publishing development long-term success.  The role requires working closely with academic editors, researchers and societies (as needed) within the community to drive content development in new and emerging research areas.  As a result, travel in the future is required.   

The Assistant Journal Manager/Journal Manager will need to:

• ensure the products are the leading publications in their respective fields
• monitor and analyze journal metrics and measure progress towards targets
• coordinate marketing efforts that will ensure increased journal usage, visibility and authorship
• commission authors to submit to the journals from key institutions worldwide
• represent AIP Publishing and its journals at conferences and institutional visits (virtual and in person)

Qualifications:                                                                                

• Assistant Journal Manager: Advanced physical science degree; or, Bachelor’s degree and familiarity with research publication in scientific journals.
• Journal Manager: Prior experience in Publishing in addition to the education and experience required for Assistant Journal Manager

Must reside within NY, NJ, CT, MD, VA, PA, MA, RI or Washington, DC.  This is a remote opportunity
