NIST Communications Technology Laboratory / Fiber Sources and Applications Group anticipates the need for a Physicist or Electronics Engineer.   ZP-III This is an interdisciplinary position that can be covered by the following Occupational Series:1310 and 0855. To carry out research in the development of optical techniques for high precision and high accuracy measurements. To conduct laboratory research on optically based time-frequency transfer and ranging over both free-space and fiber optics in order to support the next-generation of precision navigation and timing systems, as well as other applications that can exploit new capabilities in timing.  To develop, test and integrate physical hardware based on optical frequ
