NIST Communications Technology Laboratory / Radio Frequency Fields Group anticipates the need for a Physicist. ZP-III Direct and perform measurements to characterize antenna performance using gain extrapolation, polarization, and near-field techniques. Setup and operate robot-based antenna ranges. Design and implement control loops for measurement automation of bench top equipment such as vector network analyzers, as well as large industrial positioners such as 6-axis robotic arms and hexapods. Perform kinematic calibration and alignment of antenna ranges using laser trackers and spatial metrology software. Analyze measurement data and evaluate sources of error. Develop calibration/measurement uncertainty analysis and generate calibration/measurement repor
