You will serve as a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) as the Superintendent of the Electronics Science and Technology Division at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington DC.  The Electronics Science and Technology Division is a major center for in-house Navy and the Department of Defense basic and applied research in electronics.  The Superintendent is responsible for the technical and administrative management of a broad spectrum of highly sophisticated research programs involving in-house experimental and theoretical research at the frontiers of electron materials, device, and circuit technologies; and technical management of industrial contract programs which provide advanced prototype electron devices for new systems.
